Snorkeling 2 -  "Moray Gardens" and "Three Pools"
South of the village of Dahab, just north of the reserved natural area, is a pair of snorkeling spots with multiple pleasures. One is the view from the beach, the eerie yet beautiful rock face that overshadows the sand and sea starting at about 3pm. Another is the solitude (in February) - we were the only non-scuba-tour tourists and had the whole beach to ourselves both days we were there. A third pleasure was the accomodations - there is a large hut-like restaurant and lounging area across the "road" from the beach proper and the man from the restaurant tends the lounge chairs and umbrella tables along the beach. We enjoyed bean and falafel sandwiches and ginger tea. The snorkeling sights are just as amazing as at "Islands" but the second day we were there we were tormented by stinging jelly fish flotilla that were quite painful and so distracted us from the underwater sights.
