Nile Ferry - Boats There are hundreds of boats along this stretch of the nile. Every one of them is painted in bright colors - except for the "scavenger boat" as I called it. These are all fishing boats that use nets - the big boats use big nets and trawl in the Mediteranean for days at a time. The small row boats use small nets and fish in the Nile and in the barge canal.
