Our first day in the City, we strolled across the Golden Horn waterway and up the steep hill to the Galata Tower in the Beyoglu Neighborhood. The walkway on the tower is narrow and open, giving an up-close-and-personal introduction to the vast city below.The views were gorgeous: across the Bosphorus to the Asian side of Istanbul and across the Golden Horn to the Sultanahmet Neighborhood on the hill.
