Embudu Village - The Maldives are a work of art, and this was an astounding vacation. We arrived at the airport in The Maldives, a group of islands off the southern coast of India, at about 5:30 Doha time or 7:30 Maldives time, and found the booth for EmbuduVillage which is the name of the island in which we were booked. The nice fellow there took our bags ( that was the last time we handled them till we unpacked at our lodgings on the island! that's neat!) and showed us to the dock where we boarded a 40 foot boat that would take us to EV. This trip took about 50 min. and there was a dolphin sighting along the way, a very good omen. We got our first sight of EV far out to sea "it's a postage stamp" Dave is fond of saying. We arrived at the boat jetty and were led to reception to check in did our unpacking and did a walking tour of the island, then suited up and did the first of our 16 snorkels on the "house reef".
